Teen age
This sculpture is, like the majority of my sculptures, an autobiographical work. It is also my reaction to sculptures of 19th and 20th century authors. Perhaps every classical sculptor has been working with this theme. In the eyes of these male authors teenage girls were beautiful, fragile creatures of spring beauty. But my puberty is represented by a clumsy and awkward girl, puzzled and unhappy by her adolescence – just as I was.…(today it is in a private collection)
